The importance of Place of Birth in Astrology

Time and location of birth play imp role in astrology , horoscopes

The three most important determinants while casting a horoscope are date of birth, exact time of birth and place of birth. Only if these three are provided accurately, one can determine the position of celestial beings and longitude and latitude of earth. Let us understand in detail why place of birth is important in astrology.
Effect of sun: It is quite obvious that the place of birth determines the effect of sun. For instance, if you were born in India in morning, it would be night in the US or evening in the UK. Sun is an important celestial object in astrology and hence it is important to know the place of birth to determine the effect of sun in that area during the time and day of your birth.

Position of planets: The effect of other planets also varies as per the place of birth. For instance the effect of Saturn or Shani on a person born in India would be different to a person born in Africa.
Difference in latitudes and longitudes: Latitudes are imaginary lines parallel to equator and longitudes are horizontal imaginary lines, parallel to Prime Meridian. The place where they intersect on earth defines a single point, for instance, Delhi is at longitude of 77013'E and latitude of 28039'N. This position is of utmost importance in astrology, as only this exact intersection can determine the position of celestial beings at the time of birth. In big cities, you might also need to mention the area of your birth place but in small cities, the city’s name will suffice.
Determining standard time: Standard time varies from place to place. For instance there is a difference of more than one and a half hour between Assam and Gujarat. It is important to know the local time in your place of birth. In India 820 30'E is treated as the standard meridian and the Indian standard time is derived from that.
Daylight saving: In some countries, the duration for night and day varies each season. At North and South Pole the difference is as long as 6 months, with day lasting for 6 months in summer and nights for 6 months in winter. In other countries at high latitudes, the difference is from 6 to 18 hours. Therefore, the birth place is an important determinant to know the standard time in the area you were born.
